The Princeton Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (PJIR) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing research by undergraduate, graduate students, and beyond. Since its inception, PJIR has been committed to supporting and encouraging student research while fostering a vibrant community of emerging scholars.

PJIR provides a platform for students to share their research across a wide range of disciplines, including the social sciences, humanities, and science and technology. It serves as a valuable resource for students to gain experience in research and publication, including receiving constructive feedback.

​Starting in 2025, The Princeton Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (PJIR) will transition to an open-access edition as well as a print edition. It will publishes three editions annually, ensuring consistent opportunities for students to showcase their work and contribute to advancing academic discourse.

Call for Papers 2025

The Princeton Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (PJIR) is now accepting submissions for its 2025 editions. We welcome both review and original research papers across a broad range of disciplines, including humanities studies, social sciences, and science and technology. PJIR is particularly interested in interdisciplinary papers that bridge these fields and offer fresh perspectives or innovative approaches to existing research challenges. Our goal is to showcase diverse and thought-provoking scholarship that contributes meaningfully to academic discourse.

Submission deadlines are as follows:

​

  • Submission Round 1: March 10, 2025

  • Submission Round 2: July 10, 2025

  • Submission Round 3: December 10, 2025

Acceptance Announcement

The journal submission acceptance announcement will be released four weeks after the submission deadline. This timeline allows the editorial team and reviewers to thoroughly evaluate all submitted papers to ensure they meet the journal's rigorous standards. Authors will be notified of the acceptance decision via email, and successful submissions will proceed to the next stage of publication preparation.

Best Paper Award

For each edition, one paper will be selected for the Best Paper Award. The winning paper will be chosen based on the rigor of its research, originality, and potential to make a significant impact on its field. This award recognizes outstanding scholarship and highlights work that exemplifies excellence in academic research and innovation. The author of the winning paper will be notified, and their work will be featured prominently in the journal.
